Meyering was a highly decorated Stuka pilot, flying approximately 972 combat missions with Schlachtgeschwader 2 “Immelmann” and awarded the Knight’s Cross on 6 April 1944.
The photograph features a clear signature and shows Meyering wearing his Knight’s Cross and pilot’s awards.
Included is an original envelope bearing his name and postwar address, adding further provenance and collector interest.
